The Red Wolves Announce 2010 ECNL Boys Head Coach Nickson Odeny

Chattanooga, TN. (May 28th, 2022) - The Red Wolves are pleased to announce Nickson Odeny as the
new 2010 ECNL boys team Head Coach.
Odeny, from Nairobi, Kenya, is a USSF D Nationally Certified who has a distinguished resume both as a
coach and a player. He played collegiate soccer at Lee University where he was an All American
Honorable mention as well as an All American Student Athlete. He was an Assistant Coach for Lee
University’s Men’s Soccer Team in 2008, and was a coach at Redoubt Soccer for the 2004 boys. In
addition, he played at Chattanooga Football Club from 2009-2014, and was a Chattanooga Football
Academy Soccer Coach for IDP, coaching the 2010 and 2004 boys.
Academy Sporting Director Luke Winter spoke about the importance of adding Odeny saying, “Bringing
Nickson into our staff is a great addition for our club and Chattanooga soccer. Nickson established
himself as a top player in the region and has since developed his skills at multiple youth clubs. It’s a
great opportunity for him to step up to the ECNL level and we know he will help increase the quality of
our 2010 age group and aid in the process of ensuring players have maximum opportunities and
pathways to succeed on and off the field.”
Academy Age Group Director Mark Ward spoke about Odeny’s strength as a coach and what he will
bring to the Red Wolves Academy saying, “Since joining the Red Wolves, I’ve heard nothing but great
things about Nickson and we are excited he’s part of our staff and coaching team. The Red Wolves know
what he’s capable of as a top youth coach in Chattanooga and we know he will do great things with this
2010 age group in the ECNL. The Red Wolves will do everything to help Nick become the best coach he
possibly can and will support him in reaching his goals!”
